You have no plans for this weekend? Welcome to the club! We all know there is a vast spectrum of activities which we can choose but nothing is exciting enough. Cooking and movies seems right only for those who can share it with someone special, for the rest of us working and socialising (hopefully not only online) is a viable option. Take advantage of the free time and sleep as much as you can! Oh, wait, you didn’t need me to tell you this.
Weekend is a great time for introspection too. You can analyse what you did right the past week and what can be improved. How many of your objectives were meet? Maybe it’s time to set some new goals. Picture the ideal life in your mind and then write down what steps you can make now to be closer to that image in every aspect of your life. Don’t forget to be specific enough to know when your goal was achieved. I have a favourite app for this, it’s called My Goals.
Even if the weather is bad make sure you spend some time outdoors. Research shows that we spend an average of 87 percent of our time in enclosed buildings and 6 percent in enclosed vehicles; that’s about 93 percent of our lives speeded indoors, isn’t it sad? A short walk could give you a significantly boost of creativity and focus and also improves your mood. Chose a quiet and beautiful place and take a friend with you for some extra enjoyment. Nature has a tremendous power, we just need to discover it.
